Ampleforth Abbey
AMPLEFORTH Abbey will appear on BBC1’s Songs of Praise on Sunday evening.
Presenters David Grant and Sally Magnusson will explore the surroundings of the Abbey and learn about the Benedictine traditions of the monastic community who live there on the programme, which goes out at 5.30pm.
The Choirmaster, Fr Alexander, will be teaching David about Gregorian Chant, the music monks pray toused to accompany the monks in their daily prayers.
