RYEDALE residents along with visitors to the area can now benefit from a new pass offering savings to local attractions.

Pickering Tourist Information Centre has started selling the York Pass , which offers free entry to places including Eden Camp, Castle Howard, and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

It also includes a host of York’s favourite attractions such as the JORVIK Viking Centre, York Minster and CHOCOLATE Story.

Offers are also available at cafes, restaurants and on shopping and entertainment. The York Pass is available to buy as a one, two or three day consecutive adult or child pass.

Angela Jones, Business Support Manager for Ryedale District Council, said: “The York Pass gives both Ryedale residents and visitors to the area a chance to make real savings on a fantastic day out.

“By using the Pass the more you see the more you save – what better reason is there for a great day out in Ryedale and the surrounding area.”

Kate McMullen, Head of Visit York, said: “The York Pass includes 32 top attractions in and around York. We’re delighted to work in partnership with Ryedale to promote all there is to see and do in the city and beyond.

She added: "The Pass helps visitors plan their stays and put together longer itineraries, which means they book for longer and see more, which in turn benefits businesses in both the city and the region. ‘

The YorkPass is available from Pickering TIC, phone 01751 473791 or email pickeringtic@ryedale.gov.uk
