Yorkshire residents have less than a week to help one of the county’s historic buildings win a starring role on BBC One.

The Howsham Mill restoration project near Malton is in the running for the best environmental project in this year’s National Lottery Awards.

The Georgian water mill is competing against six other finalists from around the UK for the public vote to win a £2,000 prize. The winners will be announced on BBC One this autumn.

Voting via www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards closes on Wednesday.
