POLICE are appealing for witnesses after four teenagers were hurt in a collision on the B1257, north of Chop Gate, at about 8.30pm last Wednesday.
The collision involved a police mobile speed camera van, travelling towards Great Broughton, and a blue Vauxhall Corsa, travelling towards Chop Gate.
The four male occupants of the Corsa, all aged 17, were injured, two seriously.
The police van driver and another occupant suffered minor injuries.
Three of the casualties from the Corsa were taken to hospital.
The fourth was treated by ambulance staff. All occupants of the Corsa are from the Stokesley, Marton and Nunthorpe area.
Police are appealing to anyone who was travelling along the Helmsley to Stokesley Road and saw either vehicle before the collision or who witnessed the collision, to contact them.

The road was closed for about seven hours.
