New homes for Malton approved
PLANS to build 85 homes in Malton have been approved by Ryedale District Council.
The houses will be built on allotments in Broughton Road by Taylor Wimpey – 27 four-bedroomed, 23 with three bedrooms, 17 two-bedroomed and 16 one-bedroomed, together with open space, parking, garages and landscaping. Thirty-five per cent are affordable housing.
The builder will contribute £227,000 to schools, £232,000 for Brambling Fields junction and £146,252 for sport and leisure. The council received two letters of objection.
