STAFF at a Pickering company are celebrating after receiving a national award for their work.

Invicta Bakeware, which manufactures and supplies equipment to the bakery, catering and food processing industries, was presented with the Investors in People (IiP) award recognising the quality of the company's staff.

Managing Director John Waddington said: "I am thrilled to have achieved this accolade. It has often been said that an organisation is only as good as its people but I sincerely believe this to be the case and our members of staff are very much the cornerstones of the business."

IiP helps managers and employees to develop their skills and improve their performance across the business.

John said: "Investment in staff and the desire to improve the skills and expertise of the workforce has always been one of our main priorities.

"This has been the driving force behind the company throughout its long history and a formula that we hope will ensure our continued success."
