CREATIVE characters from Muppets to monsters attracted visitors to the annual Slingsby scarecrow trail.
The scarecrows were on display around the village from Saturday to Monday to raise funds for the Friends of Slingsby School.
There was also a prize draw for all those who voted for the winner of the scarecrow competition
Chair of the Friends, Rebecca Palmer-Bunting said: "The Scarecrow Festival has been very successful with 31 scarecrows this year.
"The rain has kept off and its been lovely to see so many families wandering around the village. "
She added: "It's really difficult to say who will win the competition as the standards are so high."
The results will appear on www.slingsbyschool.org from today.
