Event organisers, Rick and Catherine Eve, said they were delighted with the huge level of support from the town including Kirkbymoorside Town Brass Band which played during the day.

Rick said there were record entries this year in all the children’s races with more than 60 entries into the 4k Teenagers Race and Adult Fun Run, 112 in the One Mile and 140 in the ‘Dash’. He said: “The atmosphere generated by the town makes this such a special event and although we can’t thank everyone personally, the local businesses, event marshals and all those who help out on the day do such a fantastic job.”

Forum Subsea Technologies, of Kirkbymoorside, sponsored 2,500 bottles of water for runners of all the races and Kirkbymoorside Town Council donated £1,000 to help pay for the professional services of Community Traffic Management and Medics UK.
