A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital with injuries to her arm and leg following a head-on crash in North Yorkshire yesterday.
Two other people were injured in the crash. One was taken to York Hospital by road ambulance and the other was treated at the scene for shock.
The crash happened in Barugh Lane, Great Barugh, near Malton, at just before 4pm, and involved two vehicles travelling in opposite directions.
Police, fire service and the ambulance service were called to the scene, and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance took one woman to York Hospital.
A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said she could not confirm the severity of the woman’s injuries, but none were believed to be life-threatening.
Another two vehicle crash happened in Johnson’s Way, Thirsk at about 3.35pm on Friday.
A North Yorkshire Fire Service spokesman said one man was removed from one of the vehicles by fire crews, but the extent of his injuries were not known.
