A MAN has admitted sexual activity with a child and now faces a two-month wait to learn his sentence.
Christopher Jones, 30, formerly of Railway Street, Malton, appeared before York Crown Court via a video link from Hull prison yesterday and pleaded guilty to six charges of sexual activity with a child, one charge of attempting to engage in sexual activity with a child and one charge of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
All the offences took place in Ampleforth, Malton and Scarborough between December 2012 and February 2013.
Jones denied two further charges of sexual activity with a child and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
David Bradshaw, prosecuting, said the offences reflected a course of action involving two girls of 13.
The crown court judge ordered probation reports and a psychiatric assessment be produced before Jones is sentenced on June 20.
