A NEWLY-formed local history group will give residents the chance to view historic photographs and documents illustrating the history of the local area.
Following a recent discovery in an attic, the Thornton-le-Dale History Group will hold an exhibition showcasing about 2,000 documents from The Hill archive, which covers 900 years of the history of the Vale of Pickering and the North York Moors.
The exhibition, which will take place on Sunday, May, 4 at Lady Lumley’s School, in Pickering, will also have historic photographs and postcards of the village on display.
