LAMBS were leaping at Castle Howard this weekend as the stately home put on its annual Lamb National.
Racing sheep including Woolly Jumper, Sheargar and Red Ram battled it out along a course of brightly-coloured jumps in an entertaining display for crowds of onlookers.
Also taking place at the Ryedale estate over the Bank Holiday weekend were sheepdog demonstrations from Bob Hogg’s Sheepdog Displays.
There was a chance for visitors to get involved and try out their herding skills, and demonstrations from Ben Potter’s Birds of Prey.
Children also took part in interactive trails around the grounds, took time to meet Molly the Rabbit and had their faces painted
