THE Talbot Hotel in Malton has recently been announced as the third-best Shooting Hotel in the UK as part of the annual Guns on Pegs awards.
The Guns on Pegs awards recognise hotels’ exceptional ability to anticipate and surpass the varied requirements of a wildlife shooting party.
The Talbot Hotel, which offers a secure gun room, drying facilities for dogs and gear, plus private car parking was in addition described as having “superb food and hospitality.”
David Macdonald, general manager of the hotel, said the recognition bodes well for the future of the attraction.
He said: “A huge thank you to all those who voted for us in the awards.
“We look forward to welcoming many guns back this year and hope to make some new friends as well.”
The Talbot Hotel has also recently been listed as one of the Top Ten Shooting Hotels in Country Life Magazine.
