A SAFETY day for motorcyclists in North Yorkshire will be held this weekend.
The event will take place at DW Motorcycles in Scarborough on Saturday from 10am to 4pm and includes observed motorcycle rides, a buffet and chance to win VIP tickets to the Cock Of The North road races. Bikers will be able to chat to police motorcyclists and representatives from the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) about improving their riding skills, and can have their skills assessed in an observed ride.
Traffic Sergeant Neale Rees of the North Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Group said: “This event is intended to be a friendly and fun way to engage with the biking community while at the same time spreading the word about improving riding skills and bike safety.”
“We want bikers to feel welcome in North Yorkshire and enjoy our roads but we also want them to return home safely so that they can come back again and again.”
