A MAN who is accused of conspiring with two other men to burgle homes across the country, including in Norton, will appear at York Crown Court next week.

David Robert Brown, 29, of Stockton, appeared at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

He is accused of conspiring to commit a burglary with intent to steal from 15 properties across the country.

The offences are alleged to have been planned from October 3 last year, with the latest between October 22 and 24, when Brown is accused of planning to burgle two houses in Norton, one in Burdale Close and another in Hambleton Road.

The other offences, where Brown is facing six charges of conspiring to commit a burglary, are said to have been planned for houses in Selby, Winthorpe, in Newark, Market Weighton, Leasingham and Metheringham, in Lincolnshire.

Brown did not indicate a plea and he will remain in custody until he is due to appear at York Crown Court on Friday, April 11.
