CHANGES in parking arrangements in an area of Pickering will be investigated by highway officers of North Yorkshire County Council.
Residents living in the Potter Hill area have protested that fines have been issued by wardens for parking in an area which has been used for parking for years.
Following protests to the town and county councils, a review will be carried out and the residents and town councillors consulted, said Richard Marr, highways manager for Ryedale.
Town clerk Andrew Husband warned: “Although the county highways department is looking into the matter further, it doesn’t mean parked cars won’t be ticketed in the meantime.”
