RESIDENTS and businesses have less than two weeks left to have their say on new planning policies covering major issues, including the controversial fracking process.
The joint waste and minerals plan for North Yorkshire County Council, the North York Moors National Park Authority and City of York Council plan will offer new policies and guidelines for decisions on planning applications for new quarrying, recycling or waste treatment sites until 2030.
The current stage of the consultation process, Issues and Options, is asking people to submit their views on whether the right issues have been identified, possible new policies and potential locations for minerals and waste development in the area. Comments should be submitted by 5pm on Friday, April 11 and comments can be submitted at northyorks.gov.uk/mwconsultl
Paper copies of the main consultation document are available in all libraries in the plan area, in the main offices of North Yorkshire County Council, City of York Council and the North York Moors National Park office and in National Park Visitor Centres as well as district and borough council offices.
