Malton cosmetics thief jailed
A MAN who stole more than £100 worth of cosmetics in Malton has been ordered to complete a drug rehabilitation programme and fined £75.
Edgars Ledajs, 34, of Commercial Street, Scarborough, pleaded guilty to stealing £105 worth of Olay cosmetics from Superdrug, in Wheelgate, on March 4.
Scarborough magistrates ordered him to pay £50 in compensation and he must take part in a drug rehabilitation programme for nine months and complete 40 hours of unpaid work within the next year. Ledajs also pleaded guilty to stealing an electric toothbrush from Lloyds Pharmacy, in Malton, on March 14 and was ordered to pay an extra £25 in compensation.
