Man arrested after assault in Malton
ONE man was arrested and another taken to hospital following an assault in Malton yesterday.
North Yorkshire Police were called to flats in Railway Street just after 8.30am, where a 46-year-old man had been assaulted and sustained cuts to his head and hands.
The victim was taken to York Hospital for treatment to his injuries which were not believed to be serious.
A police spokesman said a 49-year-old man was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody.
