SPEEDING hotspots across Ryedale are being targeted by police as they encourage residents to alert them to areas where speeding is a problem.
Inspector Andy Everitt, of Ryedale police, told members of a Ryedale area committee meeting last Wednesday that the issue of speeding in Ryedale villages is being tackled by a rota of monthly speed enforcement days across known hotspots. He said: “These known hotspots have been identified though the community feedback.”
Inspector Everitt said he wanted to encourage people to raise speeding issues with their parish councillors so police could build-up a picture of the problem areas.
