BUSINESSES are being given the opportunity to hear about the Ryedale Folk Museum’s 50th anniversary plans in a special gettogether next Tuesday.
Presentations will be given by director Jennifer Smith at 10.30am and 2.30pm and representatives from firms in the area are invited to drop in any time during the day.
The museum has an eventful year ahead as it celebrates 50 years of being open to visitors. The openair museum houses more than 20 heritage buildings spread over six acres as well as 40,000 objects and antiques.
Director Jennifer Smith said: “I hope that local businesses will join us to hear about our plans for the year ahead and stay for a cup of tea and a chat.”
Those attending will find out more about the year’s events, upcoming art gallery exhibitions, special projects as well as the chance to look around the museum.
The event is free, but the museum would like people to register an interest by phoning 01751 417367.
