A MAN who was twice over the legal drink-drive limit has been fined £300 and disqualified from driving for more than 12 months.

Craig Robert Whitehouse, 24, of Oaklands, Pickering, was found to have 76 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on February 16, while driving along Ruffa Lane, Pickering. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Whitehouse pleaded guilty to drink driving at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 7, as well as driving without insurance and was fined £300 and was banned from driving for 20 months. He was told that this could be reduced by 20 weeks if he completes a driving course by April 19, next year.
