A FAIR is being held in Pickering on Saturday to mark the start of Fairtrade Fortnight.
Organised by the Fairtrade Pickering group, the event will include a number of stalls selling produce from countries such as Nepal and India.
There will also be a number of local charity stalls and refreshments.
This year’s Fairtrade Fortnight is focusing on the banana industry to help deliver a fair deal to farmers and workers.
Joan Lovejoy, from Fairtrade Pickering, said: “Our group is playing an important role in shaping the Fairtrade Yorkshire Region.”
The Fairtrade fair will be held at Pickering Memorial Hall, from 10am to noon. Admission is free.
