CELEBRATIONS to mark Malton and Norton Musical Theatre’s 65th anniversary are continuing with plans for a special concert.
The anniversary concert will take place in the Milton Rooms, Malton, from June 12 to 14. It will include songs from musicals staged in Malton during the last 65 years, plus others from more recent West End productions.
Chairman Ian Goring said: “All new members are welcome, whatever talents and skills they may have,” he said. “We always need people to participate in our productions, but these cannot be staged without the team behind the scenes, who may be set builders, costume designers, chaperones, to name but a few.”
Rehearsals for the concert start on Wednesday, February 26, at 7.30pm, at Friends’ Meeting House, Greengate, Malton.
Anyone interested in getting involved can go along and meet the new musical director, Adam Laird, or phone Ian Goring on 01944 759248 for more details.
