NEW homes could be built on the site of a former agricultural depot in Norton.
The proposals for 18 houses and flats on a triangular patch of land at Lakeside Way, in the Welham Road area, have been submitted to Ryedale District Council by Thomas Crown Associates.
The firm said the development would have a mixture of one, two, three, four and five-bedroom homes.
The 0.5-hectare site currently houses several buildings from its time as the Rawlings agricultural depot, which would be demolished.
