THERE’S no need for youngsters in Ryedale to get bored during next week’s school half-term break.

The Northern Ryedale Leisure Centre, in Pickering, will be hosting lively activity days right through the holidays.

These will run from 10am to 3.30pm on Monday with a glitz and glam session for girls aged six to 12. There will be a chance to design a bag or t-shirt, make friendship bracelets and decorate buns and take part in face-painting.

There is also a mini-climbing session for the four to seven age group from 9.30am to 11.30am.

On Tuesday, there will be two climbing sessions for the seven and over age groups from 9.30am to 11.30am and noon to 2pm. There is also an Art Attack session for the five to 12 age group from 10am to 2pm, and a roller disco from 2pm to 3.30pm for all age groups.

On Wednesday, February 19, there will be a cricket day from 10am to 3.30pm for the eight to 14 years age group, and two Fun Factory sessions for the under eights from 10.30am to noon and 12.30pm to 2pm.

If the course is a full day session a packed lunch is required. To make a reservation or for more information, phone the centre on 01751 476726.

Other events planned for Thursday and Friday include climbing, roller disco, glitz and glam, and multi-sports sessions.
