TWO people have been rescued after their pick-up truck became stuck in a beck in Ryedale.
Fire services were called to reports of a man and woman being trapped in the truck after apparently trying to drive through the beck in Grosmont just after 11am.
At one stage the man was reported to have climbed onto the roof of the vehicle.
Swift water rescue teams were dispatched to the scene and the local man and woman were rescued via a ladder from a footbridge.
They were checked at the scene and are not believed to have been injured, the fire service said.
