A MALTON woman who breached an order banning her from owning any animals or looking after animals for the rest of her life has been ordered to pay £115.
Carrianne Cooke, of Eastfield Avenue, Malton, breached the order imposed in 2011 under Section 34 of the Animal Welfare Act 2006 on or before May last year, Scarborough Magistrates’ Court was told.
The 25-year-old, who was given a 12-month conditional discharge, was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and pay court costs of £100.
Cooke pleaded guilty to both breaches of the order, which are said to have taken place in Pickering.
An order was also made to deprive Cooke of her ownership of a cat, known as Stella, under Section 33 of the Animal Welfare Act 2006, as well as an order under Section 34 of the act to prevent Cooke from owning, keeping or participate in the keeping of animals.
