A LAND Rover Discovery was parked outside a workshop at Pickhill, near Thirsk, on Friday when thieves hit.

The owner was inside the building briefly when the 4x4 was stolen at about 7pm.

Police are trying to trace the stolen vehicle - which is a green older model Discovery with tinted rear windows - and want people to come forward if they have seen it since the theft.

They also want information about a suspicious black Land Rover Defender seen nearby at the time of the theft, and any other suspicious people seen in the area on Friday or recently, such as door to door sellers.

If you can help contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and ask for Northallerton CID, email or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting reference 1214008982.
