Police are appealing for information after a theft of cable near Malton.

The cable was stolen between December 1 and 2, from two buildings in a field on the A169 at Tofts Road, between Malton and Pickering, where a wind turbine is being built.

As well as stealing copper cable valued at £2,000, the burglars also caused about £500 worth of damage to the buildings.
