A WOMAN who breached a disqualification order banning her from owning or keeping any animals, under section 34 of the Animal Welfare Act 2006, has been sentenced to a month in prison, suspended for two years.
In May 2013, Tracey Myers, 45, of Ruffa Lane, Pickering, breached the order imposed by Scarborough magistrates in 2011.
Myers pleaded guilty to breaching the order and was given a four-week suspended sentence and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80 and court costs totalling £180.
Myers was also served with a curfew order until January 30 and must remain at her home between 8pm and 7am.
