ABOUT 500 young people in the Thirsk and Malton constituency have been provided with apprenticeships in a year.
Announcing the news, MP Anne McIntosh said that in North Yorkshire as a whole, 3,800 had been created. She said:
“Training and skills are the pathway to future prosperity for our young people. Through apprenticeships and training young people learn skills or a trade which equips them for an opportunity to reach their full potential. I thank and congratulate the businesses for providing the apprenticeships and those facilitating the training in enabling young people to enter the workplace.”
