A MAN who pleaded guilty to drink-driving on a Norton road has been placed under curfew and been disqualified from driving for three years.
Duncan Haines, 33, of Welburn, was caught in August when he was driving in Commercial Street, Norton, over the legal limit drink-drive and was sentenced to a curfew of four months at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court. He must remain in his house from 8pm to 6am during that time.
Haines was also ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work within the next year, pay a £60 victim surcharge, £85 court costs and is banned from diving for the three years.
