MORE than 100 geese worth about £17,600 in total have been stolen from North Yorkshire farm.
Police are investigating after a gaggle of Christmas geese was stolen from the farm in Flawith near Easingwold.
The farm is known for breeding very high quality geese, police said.
The theft happened overnight between Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, 2013.
Officers are appealing to anyone who has been offered a large number of geese for sale recently to contact them with information.
You are also urge to get in touch if you saw any suspicious people or vehicles in the area around the time of theft.
Anyone who can help officers with their inquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Steve Banks or Easingwold police.
