RESIDENTS of a village near Malton have been urged to remain vigilant following an attempted burglary.
Thieves attempted to force open a ground floor window at a house in the village of Bulmer in the early hours of Tuesday, December 10, but were unable to gain access.
PC Katie Shaw, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you noticed any suspicious activity in Bulmer around the time of the attempted break-in, I urge you to contact the police straight away.
“I am also keen to speak to anyone else whose property in the village may have been the subject of a similar offence and ask them to get in touch.”
