FINE dining in North Yorkshire is being taken to a new level as the Feversham Arms launches its £120 breakfast menu.

The Helmsley hotel has dubbed its offering as “the UK’s Most Luxurious Breakfast”, with ingredients being flown in from around the world for the pre-ordered delicacy.

But rather than a hearty offering of the classic ‘full English’ the hotel has taken a more delicate approach.

Priced at £120 for two people, the set menu features Balik salmon, two duck eggs, Oscetra caviar, crème fraiche and mini brioche, finished off with a glass of Laurent Perrier champagne.

Charles Merchie, general manager at the award winning hotel, said: “We are a 22-suite hotel and operate in a very luxurious market place, and with that comes the requirement for really refined food.

“We are very popular for celebrations, whether it’s birthdays, anniversaries or anything, and as the market is picking up people are getting back to celebrating success.

“That is what we are catering for with this breakfast, people indulging in luxury.”

The menu was put together by the hotel’s head chef Jason Birkbeck, and uses local duck eggs, combined with imported salmon from the Norwegian fjords which has been transported over the Ricken pass to Ebersol in Switzerland where it is delicately smoked using a secret Russian recipe.
