THE North York Moors National Park Authority has been named Yorkshire and the Humber’s best employer in the final of the National Apprenticeship Awards 2013.
The award, presented by the Environment Secretary Owen Paterson, has been won by the authority for two years running.
Jack Pressdee received the award at the presentation at Sutton Bank National Park Centre last month on behalf of his six fellow apprentices.
The authority has trained more than 60 apprentices over the past 11 years in environmental conservation, accounting and business administration.
The award comes at a time of double celebration for the authority which will be advertising for a new ICT apprentice thanks to an £8,000 grant from Ryedale District Council.
