A GROUP of fundraisers have been praised for their efforts in collecting money for the Malton branch of the British Heart Foundation.
Marjory Murray and Yvonne Myers helped by Cath Cooper, Margaret Cockerill and Cynthia Ford, have worked tirelessly over the past year to collect prizes for a bingo evening and raffle.
The event, which took place at the Norton Railway Station Social Club, raised £475 for the charity.
Marjory and Yvonne have now raised a total of £1,395 for the Malton branch of the British Heart Foundation in memory of Jim Murray.
Ann Barron, chairman of the Malton branch, said the bingo night started in 2011 and has now become an annual event.
“The Malton branch is so very grateful to the ladies involved in making this event such a huge success and would like to thank all of those would supported the evening and helped raise such a lot of money for this very special charity,” she said.
