Forum to discuss mobile phone coverage in Ryedale
12:57pm Wednesday 25th September 2013 in News
Call made to join mobile phone forum MOBILE phone coverage in the area will be discussed at a new community forum organised by parish councils and the North York Moors National Park Authority.
The forum aims to lead a discussion among friends, colleagues and experts about how the North York Moors can become a better and easier place to live.
It is hoped the meeting will be the forerunner of a community forum event on topical subjects every year.
The first forum will be on Tuesday, October 8, at Lady Lumley’s School, Pickering, starting with a buffet supper at 5.30pm, followed by the forum at 6.30pm.
There will be an update on the mobile infrastructure project in the North York Moors by Chris France, the authority’s director of planning, and Will Osborne from Harlequin Group, the company contracted to do planning, survey and design for the project. This will include information on proposals for dealing with key ‘not spots’ or areas with no mobile reception.
Representatives from parish councils and the National Park Authority will also be there to talk about North York Moors issues and how to get involved in these organisations.
Attendance is free, but places should be booked by Monday, September 30 with Judith Seaton at the North York Moors National Park Authority, The Old Vicarage, Bondgate, Helmsley, York, YO62 5BP, phone 01439 772700, or email email@example.com
