New manager for Helmsley's Verbena Spa
8:00am Wednesday 25th September 2013 in News
AN award-winning spa will be taken back to basics under its new manager.
Lisa Batty, 30, has been unveiled as the new manager of the Verbena Spa at the Feversham Arms Hotel in Helmsley and already has plans to develop it.
Lisa arrives at the hotel and spa as a familiar face, though, having helped to launch the spa as its manager in September 2008.
She worked alongside staff to help develop it in to a worldclass facility.
Lisa said: “I’m delighted to be back at Verbena Spa.
“It’s a bit of a homecoming for me, like returning to an old friend.
The hotel and spa has certainly changed since my last time here, evolving into a more all-round luxury experience.
“I plan on taking the spa ‘back to basics’ by concentrating on the fantastic therapists and the services they provide.”
The spa was crowned World Luxury Spa in 2011 and given a UK Resorts Spa award among others.
Lisa joins the spa, which has seven treatment rooms a heated outdoor pool and a hot tub, from The Cedar Court Grand Hotel and Spa, York.
She said: “We’re proud to be Yorkshire’s best kept secret – but I would like to share that secret a bit more both nationally and regionally.”
