RYEDALE Citizen’s Advice Bureau has relocated to new premises in Malton.
The charity has moved to Stanley Harrison House, next to the rail station in Norton Road Previously based at Community House in Wentworth Street, the CAB is the first organisation to move into the building owned by Ryedale District Council.
Chief executive officer Sue Bywater said their new offices were ideally located for clients.
“We are right next to the railway station and opposite the bus station for people using public transport.
“The offices are very modern and light with three interview rooms for people who use the drop-in sessions as well as pre-booked appointments,” she said.
Sue said the charity had seen a dramatic increase in demand for its services over the last 18 months.
“This has reflected changes in the benefit system and also changes to employment legislation,” she said.
“We hope that moving here will help raise our profile and encourage more people who may need advice to call in.”
Ryedale CAB provides a drop-in service on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9.30am-12.30pm.
The charity’s annual meeting will be held on Thursday, October 17 at 12.30pm which everyone is invited to attend. This will be followed by an open day later in the month.
