Friends aid changes at Easingwold hospital
11:04am Tuesday 20th August 2013 in News
MORE than £120,000 of improvements have been made to St Monica’s Hospital in Easingwold, thanks to the generosity of a local charity.
Funds donated by the League of Friends of St Monica’s Hospital have benefited staff and patients and have complemented investment by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust which runs the hospital.
The physiotherapy clinic has been refurbished and a former office has been converted to provide a quiet room where patients and families can speak to the doctors in private.
The League of Friends of St Monica’s is already looking to fund new projects at the hospital such as an automatic door for the physiotherapy clinic entrance.
Barry Sanderson, chairman of the League of Friends, said: “It’s a pleasure to see each project finished and see staff and patients benefit. Many thanks to our generous donors and fundraisers for all their help.”
