Yorkshire Cajun Festival a success
10:59am Wednesday 20th March 2013 in News
MALTON enjoyed a taste of the Deep South at the weekend with the town’s second Yorkshire Cajun Festival.
Organisers said the festival, which was held at a variety of venues, was a great success.
Alison Shutt, one of the festival committee members, said: “Visitors from all over the UK and Europe again commented on the quality of the venue and the appeal of the town of Malton itself.”
She added: “Festival committee members John Adamson, Glyn Roberts, Anne Russell, Olga Wheatley and myself would especially like to thank all the volunteers associated with the festival without whose help it would not have been such a resounding success.”
The date is already set for next year’s festival – March 14-16, but for those who cannot wait, dance workshops resume on March 27 at the Blue Ball, Malton, at 8pm.
