Apprentices boost in Ryedale

YOUNG people are to benefit from efforts to boost apprenticeship schemes throughout Ryedale.

The district council is to fund two schemes for young people and businesses over the next two years. About £100,000 will be provided to fund new apprentice posts across the local authority, while a £150,000 fund will assist businesses in Ryedale who wish to take on apprentices, subject to eligibility.

Council leader Linda Cowling said: “The district council scheme will make a difference to the young people of Ryedale by taking on eight new apprentice posts.”

Perhaps some recently unemployed Councillors could take advantage of this opportunity. Is there an apprenticeship on how to avoid 'clashes of personality' ?
