Ryedale Local Plan scrutiny dates announced

THREE days of further consultation on the Ryedale Local Plan have been scheduled for May.

A six-week consultation on the planning blueprint for Ryedale has just ended as part of the formal examination of the Local Plan Strategy.

The Local Plan Strategy is the key planning policy document for the district.

Ryedale District Council is now considering representations made on the proposed further changes which have been forwarded to the inspector who is examining the Local Plan Strategy.

Jill Thompson, local plans manager for Ryedale District Council, said: “There will be a further three days of hearing sessions running from May 22 to May 24.

“The inspector will provide a hearing programme and this will be made available on the council’s website.”
