Look Good Feel Great event is huge success

YOUNG people were given the opportunity to find out more about looking good and feeling great at an event held in Malton.
Organised the health group, North Yorkshire LINk, along with members of the Ryedale team, the day was aimed at 15 to 19-year-olds.
Activities included rap and poetry sessions and art and laughter therapy, all designed to improve mood, mental health and wellbeing.
Local comedian Ryan Swain compered the event, which was held at the Milton Rooms.
Di Keal, from Ryedale LINk, said there were stands offering advice on everything from drugs and alcohol support to coping with bullying, plus live bands.
“We had some great music and it was a great success for those young people who came along and really enjoyed the activities,” she said.
“We also received some useful feedback and further events will be coming up in the future.”
