Dave Kirk, Norton College’s director of rugby, said the academy team started in 2010 and had been playing its home games at Malton and Norton Rugby Club.

“All teams throughout the sixth form and further down the school are looking forward to playing home fixtures at their own home ground,” he said.

“The first home game was a Year 11 game against local rivals Malton School which the home side won 22 – 5. Hopefully, this is an omen for things to come.”
