POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary in a Ryedale village.
It happened between 3.30pm and 10pm last Tuesday from a property in Wass, near Ampleforth.
The burglars stole jewellery including Accurist, Rotary and Silvana wristwatches, a lady’s wedding ring, pearl necklaces and an assortment of cufflinks.
PC Paul Storey, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you noticed any suspicious activity in the Wass area around the time of the burglary, I would ask you to phone the police or Crimestoppers straight away.
“I also need to speak to anyone who may have been offered any of the stolen jewellery for sale and ask them to get in touch.
“If you would like to ensure that your house is as secure as possible, please visit the force’s website where you can complete a self-assessment survey, as well as finding general crime prevention advice.”
