The Harrogate Band
TERRINGTON Village Hall is hosting a number of live music events this month.
On Saturday at 7.30pm, a Last Night of the Proms-style concert featuring The Harrogate Band, plus a guest soprano, will take place. Proceeds are in aid of the village hall refurbishment. Tickets are £8.
Meanwhile, a new acoustic night is being launched on Thursday, March 7, at 8pm, featuring Beggars Bridge from Hull, supported by Eleri Pollard, a 15-yearold singer songwriter/guitarist.
Entrance is £3.
“Our village pub closed down over a year ago, so I have converted the old redundant snooker room in the hall into a lounge bar, which connects to the Wimbush room by double doors,” said Ian Hughes, chairman of Terrington Village Hall.
“I am hoping that I have altered the dynamic of these two rooms together to provide a great space for smaller acoustic gigs. If anyone is interested in performing, then email me at ian@ backotheshop.co.uk”
Ian adds that there’s also a plan to have a ‘pub night’ every Friday night and be open for major sporting events, as a large-screen TV has been put up in the lounge bar.
Tickets for the two music events are available from Terrington Stores or phone (01653) 648488.
