Londesborough Lodge in Scarborough up for sale
9:18am Friday 22nd February 2013 in News
AN historic North Yorkshire building is up for sale. Londesborough Lodge, in the centre of Scarborough’s Cultural Quarter, has been put on the market by Scarborough Borough Council.
The Grade II-listed building was built in 1839 and improved by the First Lord of Londesborough, who was said to have entertained Edward VII there. Councillor Mike Cockerill said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for potential buyers to own a slice of Scarborough history and bring this building back to life. At the same time, we would also like to invite formal expressions of interest under the Community Asset Transfer scheme”.
The property is on the market for offers over £350,000. For more details, phone David Chapman on 01723 352235.
